We’re going to Saginaw to fellowship with statewide youth. This is the same program that was hosted at Tab last year in our fellowship hall. We saw mime, steppers, drill teams, oratory winners, etc. Let’s go have some Holy Ghost fun. We’re leaving at 5:15 exactly. Contact Sis. Denice, Sis. Brandi Harris or Sis. Kitchen for more information.
The Desktop Publishing/Magazine group T.E.A.M. (Teens Evangelizing thru Arts & Media) will resume meeting on this Saturday, February 7 at 1:00 pm and every first Saturday at 1:00 pm thereafter.
We will meet in the computer lab. Our goal is to publish our first Magazine by the second quarter of ‘09 (April 1).
I just discovered GodTube!. It’s just like YouTube but Christian. Check this one out http://www.godtube.com/view_video.php?viewkey=43a7cea8e1e0ca8daaca
Back in ‘05, we started a desktop publishing/journalism class entitled T.E.A.M. - Teens Evangelizing through Arts and Media. We collected articles and pictures to include in our Church magazine, which we named “The Tablet”.
Well, just as we approached our deadline, things came to a screeching halt. We discovered that we could not afford to publish.
This is a new day! The church is in possession of equipment that can produce a full-sized version of our publication.
Now we won’t be able to go into “mass” production, but there’s no reason why we couldn’t print a small number of issues to see if there is a demand for our product.
We will resume T.E.A.M. meetings in January ‘09. Just Pray!

Camp TAB will begin on July 28, 2008 and run until August 15. We will, of course, host a HYPE NITE on the last night. Camp TAB is for youth 13-17. The “littles” have “Camp TAB, Jr.”.
Sis. Kitchen promises to make the 2008 Camp TAB ”UNFORGETABLE”!

Tabernacle hosts the Wolverine State Convention
Tabernacle hosted this week long event. There were classes and workshops presented all day and in the evening.
The new president is a man of vision who sees a need for successful churches to mentor other churches when they begin new ministries.
The Youth Explosion began on Friday at 7:30 pm. It was very exciting. The Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Kalamazoo gave leadership on the planning for this event. Many you ministries from around the state ministered in dance, stepping, fancy drill teams, mime, song, instrumentation and spoken word. We performed our first ESA (Evangelical Service Announcement). We had technical difficulties on this first outing, but we are going to perform it for the congregation on fifth Sunday.
We really enjoyed the many demonstrations of the “Worship Arts” that were brought forth by other churches. This was our chance to get new insight about other forms of “Worship Arts”.
The theme for Friday and Saturday was R.E.A.L. - Radically Equipping Authetic Leaders. On Saturday, June 7 at 8:00 am we had REAL Food, REAL Praise, REAL Prayer REAL Talk, REAL World and REAL Demonstration.
We Will Never Be the Same!
With all that is going on in the city of detroit, with the Mayor and these text messages, the 9 million dollars, the party at the mansion, and the call for resignment. How do these things effect you, your family, and your friends?
What can we as Christians do or say when we are in conversation with our peers about these topics?
Someone has said that if a person’s faith doesn’t work at home, then it is nearly worthless.
What would people say about your faith if they came to your home and watched you interact with your family? If they watched you in a conflict with a parent or a brother or sister, what would they see?
You can’t avoid all disagreements. Conflict is a part of living with other people. Our goal, however, should be to do everything we can to avoid unnecessary conflicts and to resolve the family squabbles that are unavoidable.God gave us our families. We learn through both good and bad times. Even conflict and all its ickyness can teach us lessons that will help us the rest of our lives.
What were they thinking? Do you know? It is stated by the police that this type of offense can not just lead to a little jail time, no but LIFE in prison.
impacts (no) directly impacts our tomorrow. I think its time to take living for Christ seriously.
What are some youthful games that have adult consequences?
