Our responsibilities also include raising funds to be able to continuously provide financial support to our youth

 Scholarship Fund Guidelines

Dear Applicant:

Thank you for your interest in the TMBC Scholarship Fund.  The scholarship fund provides supplementary assistance to FULL-TIME UNDERGRADUATES ONLY.  Funds are awarded to TMBC members and non-members. In addition to applying for this scholarship, applicants are encouraged to seek scholarships from other sources such as colleges/universities, Greek letter organizations, and community resources.

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING GUIDELINES BEFORE COMPLETING THE APPLICATION:

 

1. Applicant(s) must be accepted into a College/University prior to applying for the TMBC scholarship and a copy of the acceptance letter must accompany your application.
2. Applications must be submitted by May 31st for the upcoming school year beginning in the Fall. No applications will be processed during the months of July through January. Only one scholarship application can be submitted for each school year.
3. Scholarship and fund disbursement will be needs based and based on fund availability, total number of applicants, and academic progress. (GPA 2.0)
4. Applicant(s) can receive a maximum of four (4) scholarships during their collegiate career from the TMBC scholarship fund. Only one scholarship awarded per school year.
5. A typed 500-word essay using Times Roman and 12 Font is required. You must choose one of the topic options:
   1. The Bible and my personal relationship with God. OR
   2. Life experiences – Future goals, how and why those goals were chosen, and your plans to achieve your goals and accomplishments.
6. Two recommendation letters are required. One from a school official or administrator and one from an adult, non-family member.
7. A personal interview is required and may be conducted electronically.
8. A complete checklist of all required documents is attached to the bottom of the application.
9. A complete application and all required documents must be uploaded via the online form or mailed to the below address before the May 31st deadline.
10. INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED
