Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church (TMBC) is seeking an experienced professional to assist the church Treasurer in the effective and efficient processing of our Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll transactions.  This is a Part-Time position reporting to the Church Treasurer.


  • Process Payroll in Paychex
  • Receive funds from various sources, providing receipt and reporting to Church Treasurer
  • Assist the Treasurer in disbursing all money contributed to the church budget
  • Keep accurate records of how money is spent within the approved budget
  • Create reports as requested and authorized by the church treasurer
  • Must maintain confidentiality of financial records and other church information available in the course of performing duties.
  • Maintain Clean Desk Policy.
  • Interact professionally with all church members, vendors and other persons
  • Returns phone calls in response to correspondence and or draft letters regarding financial inquiries.
  • Draft and mail invoices and correspondence such as; tax records, tax deduction forms


  • 3 Years’ experience in accounting profession
  • 2 Years’ experience using Quick books, MS Excel, Word Outlook and Web techniques
  • Associate Degree or higher in Finance, Accounting or other related field preferred.
